I have dealt with the broker assigned to our company regarding issues with my medical aid. The problem has already started in December 2011. The broker was requested by myself to change the primary GP listed on my records. This was never done and during 2012 the bills kept piling up. Numerous phone calls and emails did not rectify the situation. Eventually January 2013 he and his manager came to see me and he apologised, stating that he knows he was wrong, he just had to many clients that my stuff slipped through the crack. The bills were to be paid by at least the end of January. Nothing happened. We again had a meeting and arranged a payment schedule for the money to be paid in 2 portions, September and October. In the past 4 weeks he has on numerous occasions made promises to pay the amounts agreed, there is still no payment done and he is avoiding me. I am now fed up with this pathetic service and can not wait any longer for a solution!!! The next step will be to lay a charge with the Ombudsman as this can not go on 1 day longer!!!
