Lost loyalty points & pathetic customer service

I tried resolving this without writing a report online but Edgars has left me with no alternative. I have been trying to call the customer service non-stop, 2 times at Trade Route Mall and 3 additional attempts to the head office. I get through to Trade Route after 5 minutes of waiting and the lady who answers keeps on cutting me off without actually putting me through to customer service. Again, this happened 2 times!!! The head office can't get through to Trade Route either and left me on hold for ages.

I had R137 worth of thank you points. All of a sudden, when I wanted to use them on the double weekend, my thank you points value has dropped down to R0.70. In store I was told that Edgars can just take away your points with no explanation; it is after this that I attempted calling them as stated above. I would like an explanation to what is going on. If there is an expiration why would I not be given a warning or anything? As a customer of 25 years, one would expect a little bit of assurance from a company as big as Edgars.
