On 29.09.2013 at 16:16 my wife, a mtn client, inquired as to purchasing airtime for me, a vodacom client, from a cashier. She inquired as to denominations and settled on R50. The cashier informed her it was R49 and she bought it. Later I redeemed the voucher that state AIRTIME VOUCHER AND MAKES NO MENTION OF SMS'S and was informed that it was for a 150 sms bundle. I immediately called vodacom to have it converted to airtime balance and spoke to their call centre consultants twice and their data department. They informed me that the vendor should addres my concern as they could not convert these worthless sms's. My wife returned to Shoprite on 30.09 2013 (spending R50 on petrol), where the cashier admitted to her supervisor Francis that she did not inform my wife that this voucher applies to a sms bundle. Francis however informed my wife that THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AS I ALREADY REDEEMED THE VOUCHER, and that I should ask Vodacom again to assist me as they can do nothing further! even though this is a fault on their part! I am aghast at their poor customer service and feel that I have been swindled with these worthless sms's and the poor service. Pick 'n Pay here I come!
