Upsetting to see and to hea

Good evening, I am very upset about the way that the security at Checkers in Malvern, Durban treated a young boy about 14-16 yrs. He was in front of me, he bought something under R4.As he was about to leave the shop the security from Reho called him into the office. A Black male and a female went into the office with the boy. They closed the door. I could see what was going on inside. The young boy looked like he stays on the streets. The male security searched the young boy. I could see him lifting his arms to be search. They did find a few things on him that he took. One thing I could recognize in the basket was Colgate toothpaste. While they were with him in the office the female security guard hit him with something. It was so loud that I could hear it standing by the till. I had my 7 year old and 10 month old sons with me. My 7 yr old got such a big fright that he froze and looked at the office where they were. This all happened without the manager inside the office. Only after they hit him they called the manager. I find that it was wrong what they did, searching him and hitting him without the manager. The shop was full of customers. When I spoke to the manager it looked like he did not care.
