The mystery of the disappearing nurse

I very seldomly take leave, mainly because I try to get it to correspond with my fiance's and with her being a dental assistant, her holidays are really limited to that of her dentist. So this was the first holiday we've taken in a long time and decided to get some things done that we never got to under normal circumstances. One of these was to get a health checkup at the Clicks clinic as a prerequisite of sorts for our Discovery Vitality plan. We managed to get back-to-back bookings on Friday 27 September, at 13h30 and 14h30 respectively.

Upon our arrival, the clinic door was closed with a note saying that the nurse will not be in today, and as such all appointments were automatically cancelled. Judging by the responses written in pen on that note, this was not the first time it had happened either.

We received NO phonecall, sms, nor email to notify us of this, and as a result of the mid-day appointments me missed out on enjoying our last day on leave by doing other things we never got time for.

I am appalled. This is an absolute disgraceful testament to Clicks's poor management of this service and disregard for their clients. It cost me time and money that I'll never get back.
