Pick 'n Pay
Waiting Forever for a repia

I bought a Defy Fridge from Pick n Pay Woodmead in August 2011. In July 2013 we reported the door seal torn to the same store. They arranged with Defy to send out an repair technician to take a look. After numerous calls and trying to find the most convenient time for both the repair guys and myself they came through to assess the damage. The technician agreed that this would fall within the warranty and he would replace it shortly. A week or 2 later the repair man was back with a replacement part that didn't fit. HE said he would arrange for the correct part to be ordered and get back to me. A few weeks went by and no news thus I went back to PNP Woodmead. The salesman took down our details again and said that we would receive an update in 48 Hours or so. To date 3 Weeks have gone by and still no response from Defy or PNP. Not sure if this is a tactic to delay until my warranty expires or really poor service. This kind of after sales service can put you off a brand for good! Whilst I do understand that PNP as the retailer may not b e liable for the repair itself, better customer support would be great.
