Frame of sunglasses broke

I bought a pair of sun glasses a year ago. The other morning I woke up to find that my frame had broken down the middle. I was utterly shocked as I thought Guess had really good quality products.

I immediately went through to Sandton to find out what could be done. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and would not provide with any assistance. She kept saying that I needed to bring the receipt and my glasses would be sent to the supplier. On inquiring what is the protocol when the item is sent to the supplier she just raised her voice and repeated that I should bring the receipt. This went back and forth for some time. After a while I asked whether there is a guarantee on frames as i know there is a 2 year guarantee on Ray Bans. This lady informed me that there is no guarantee on any of the products and specifically mentioned that handbags have only a 6 month guarantee and are not genuine leather.

I am extremely disappointed. I spent a fortune on my glasses to wake up one morning to find them broken. Guess is a well known international brand. How can the quality and service be this poor?
