Taking forever when a life is at risk

Just this past weekend, I went to Northgate Jhb to donate blood.
Afterwards me and my boyfriend went to Checkers, which was right around the corner to do some light grocery shopping.

I then started feeling extremely lightheaded and soon enough I passed out hitting my head on the floor as I fell backwards.
I then started shaking as my body went in shock from lack of blood.
My boyfriend immediately told the store attendant that was standing next to him to call the ambulance. The store attendant stood there for a while, just staring, then when to the front desk talking to another store attendant lady, and both just stood there doing nothing.

My boyfriend then decided to take matters into his own hands and carried me off to the car. After he placed me in the car and was ready to drive, the two store attendant rocked up and asked if I was ok.
My boyfriend was furious as they just stood there doing nothing, not even calling the hospital and only decided to show their faces when we were about to leave.

I could have easily had brain damage due to the lack of urgency in their response.
I'm not happy with the way they handled things, surely they should be trained to respond fast.
