FREE Snails

I bought a bunch of parsley at the Checkers in Parow Centre, the store I usually do my monthly grocery shopping.
When it was time to use the parsley, I noticed that Checkers had been so kind to add some free garden snails to the bunch. Unfortunately, this was no escargot.
It was quite disgusting to find this and absolutely mind boggling as to how this actually passed the 'quality check'...well, that's if their food still undergoes such things.

I used to enjoy shopping at Checkers... now... guess I'll have to find a grocery store who respects health codes and regulations.
