Bad Service and Attitude

Today, 16 September 2013, at 16h00 I approached cashier no 26 at Mayville Mall Checkers Hyper. As I approached her she was sitting doing nothing until I got to the till at which point she pulled out a ledger type book and started making entries into it.

When she completed the entries, she then continued to peruse the others and flatly ignore my wife and myself. When I packed my stuff back into the trolley and moved next door, I was discussed by cashier no 26 and 27 (at which I was now standing) and her packer. The packer also thought that handling my goods roughly would scare me.

Further to this (and I understand that there is construction going on at the moment, but this is not the first time) the store is hot and cleaners and staff stand around in isles etc when you approach and make it difficult to move with a trolley.

It was always a delight to shop at this store, but it has gone backwards and it's standards have distinctly dropped. Possibly time for a management reshuffle and some discipline to be imposed on errant workers?
