Blatant Disregard for Account Requests

I opened an Edgars account just under a month ago. Upon opening my account, I explicitly stated (more than once) that I did not want any family plans, accident/funeral insurance, nor to be part of the Edgars Club. Once the account had been opened, I proceeded the following week to buy some clothing.

My first surprise came on confirmation of my account details in the mail. The letter explained that I was sign up for Financial insurance (required), which was ok. However it continued to say that I was signed up for Family insurance and accident insurance. I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought it might have been an honest mistake, so I called the call-line to cancel them - the letter explained that if canceled within 30 days, there would be no charge.

This morning I received my first statement showing the total clothing cost owed as well as costs incurred for 2 different family plans, accident insurance, and funeral insurance.
I called to cancel and was told I'd be refunded.

I'm personally appalled at the blatant disregard of my requests to have these extras excluded from my account, and this has definitely affected my personal view of Edgars and the way they treat customers.
