On the 1st of September I ordered a cook book as a present for my wife. I processed the payment on my credit card, and when I checked on the order it was on hold due to: "awaiting payment". I then e-mailed the Support line and was told that is was a problem with my card. I checked with the bank in question, and the bank told me that they had not even had a payment request from Kalahari against my Credit Card. I then tried to process the payment again with no success. After querying this again, I was told that I was not to worry and that it was probably due to the change over in their systems. After checking again to process the payment, the order was cancelled from the Kalahari side. I then re ordered the book on the 3rd September, only to find that it was now out of stock and had to come from the supplier. I then encountered the same problem, with the order still awaiting payment. What has really shown that e-commerce and customer support if at really at unacceptable levels in SA is the following: I queried the payment issue and was told telephonically that it could be because of the system change over and I should wait I have now phoned 3 more times and am still awaiting a reply!
