Pick 'n Pay
Poor Food Quality!!!

I am an avid Pick n Pay shopper who routinely does my grocery shopping at your stores...
However, my faith in your stores was shaken last week when I shopped at your branch in Victoria Road, Pietermaritzburg.
I was hosting my parents and in-laws on Sunday morning and given the late notification, I rushed across to the nearest Pick n Pay to get some tea and breakfast items.
I picked up a large cake titled the Gourmet Tiramisu Cake at a hefty price of R69.99. Given that the Tiramisu Cake from Woolworths is my favourite and costs about the same I purchased the cake without hesitation.
Upon serving it to my guests I was completely horrified to find out that it actually tasted like cough mixture or some sort of bitter medication and was almost bone dry!!!
It was such an embarrassing situation that it drove me to tears - who expects to serve something like that when you are trying to impress people?..I trusted that Pick n Pay only serves the finest quality of food and baked items... unfortunately, that does not seem to be true.
My faith in your store is totally shaken... I will be more hesitant to visit your stores in the future.
