Please train your staff, especially Store Managers

My wife is currently standing at Boardmans Eastgate frustrated and almost in tears!!!

Why should this be the case, especially when dealing with a Store Manager who should be equiped and trained to help in such situations. According to me the issue is very simple and straight forward.

My wife and I bought an iron from Boardmans in Design Quater, fourways. This was done using her Edgars account. Due to quality issues with the iron, my wife wanted to EXCHANGE the iron for another one and so she went to Boardmans Eastgate. I agree she doesnt have the slip however you will only need a slip when you need to be refunded in cash. To have an item exchanged, one doesnt really need to produce the slip. In any event my wife has an account and the store should be able to pick up on items that were bought using the edgars card. Is this correct? My problem is that the Store Manager insists that the iron was never bought at Boardmans since she is not able to pick up the transaction on my wife's transaction history. Does she know how to use the system and over and above that she doesn't know how to speak and treat customers who contribute towards her salary!!!
