I applied for an Edgars account on Saturday, 24 August and was told that the relevant department would contact me by the following Monday or Tuesday.By Wednesday I still hadn't heard anything so I went into the store to follow up. At this particular store, one waits and waits and waits to be seen to at the express credit desk. When someone eventually came to assist me, I was told my application had been denied and when I asked why, I was told to contact TransUnion myself.

After further enquiries with TransUnion, it seems the gentleman who processed my application at Edgars did not give me all the correct information regarding the paperwork required.

The whole experience has left me feeling very frustrated. Not only did I have to wait for ages to be assisted on BOTH occasions, but was also given incomplete information and no-one from Edgars had the decency to notify me (as promised) about the status of my application.

Unacceptable customer service.
