Printer price more expensive than competito

I purchased a HP 8600 plus printer at Makro, and was told that the printer was R3499, I argued with the Sales person who informed that the normal Hp 8600 was R2999, I then told him that I was sure that a competitor has them for R2999, he insisted that it was not the plus and I bought the 8600 plus on good faith that he know what he is talking about. Opened it up and installed it no problem. only to find out that the competitor is selling it for R2999, Alberton branch won't budge on to meet the price and nor will the Makro Client Care as they say it is not there policy to beat prices.
