I bought a Scott mountain bike for R35 000.00. Had a warranty claim 3 months after purchase.
Apparently the frame was replaced by probike. This could not be verified by the particular bikeshop- i still dont know if I recieved a new frame or the same. Probike also gave no explanation for the problem on the bike.
After 3 more months the exact same problem occured again. I had to return the bike again to which probike wanted to replace the frame. I claimed the same problem would reoccur and that I wanted a better frame. They agreed only if I paid for the difference in price. A new better frame was ordered and 4 weeks later a shipment without the ordered frame arrived. Probike had no explanation for this and said I must wait for the next shipment, which would arrive a month later. I was very upset, but the bikeshop-Cajees cycle corner centurion offered to locate a frame from another bike shop. Well done to them.
This was a week ago. I still have not recieved any explanation or apology from probike. This was shocking service. Im very dissapionted in the scott brand as well as probike. I have very little confidence in the new scott product. I will tell all my mtb friends.
