Credit limit increase offered took my away credit

I made a purchase on my truworths account of 340.00 and received a slip stating that my available credit is 966.00. I then wanted to purchase for 966.00 and when I got to the till the consultant Donisa Lefleur offered me a credit limit increase. I asked her what does this mean and she said that my 966.00 will be increase so I can buy for me. She put it through and I then asked her to tell me what I can buy for and then it turned out that I could only buy for 250.00 after she put through the increase. It is Eid and I needed to purchase clothes for my children, I need a valid explanation for this or I need that credit increase reversed so that I can get my 966.00 back that I initially had. Please get back to me asap with an answer as the manager and staff could not explain why they actually take consumers credit after offering them increases- manager on duty- Althena Nelson.
