Mr Price Sport
Damaged goods and bad attitude

Shops, Products, Services

On 1 July my husband bought shorts for gym. Only after he had worn them once did he notice a few small holes in the fabric. After having washed them he returned the shorts to the store (not sure of exact date but within a week of purchase).

He was assisted by a very rude manageress with a very bad attitude who told him the shorts would have to be sent to head office and they would decide on what course of action to take. About a week later he visited the store again and was told by the manageress that head office had refused to replace the shorts as it was not fabric damage but they had been hooked on something.

Whilst it is difficult to prove you did not cause the damage, it is extremely annoying knowing that you did not and yet you are being treated like a criminal. You do not check new clothing for damage as you do not expect it to be damaged when you buy it. Needless to say my husband told the manageress he would never buy from Mr. Price again and threw the shorts in the rubbish bin in front of her.

Given the size of the Mr. Price group surely as a goodwill gesture they would replace damaged goods for good customer relations or perhaps they are too big!
