I have been a client of Truworths for close to 30 years (as long as I can remember). I have a large credit limit and my husband (who is in charge of the payment of accounts), has been very up to date with payment. Unfortunately we were on leave in June and did not receive the statement and hence he forgot to make payment. I was contacted by I presume the accounts department to ask for payment. He was with me when the call came in and I handed the phone to him. He confirmed that he would do the payment immediately via EFT. He also requested that he be contacted in the future should there be any account payment queries. He did the EFT payment immediately.
Today I received a phone call from the same lady insisting on an "alternative method of payment" as no payment was done since her previous call. Not only did she accuse me of none payment, but she also ignored a previous request to liaise with my husband. Obviously the staff in the department is not well trained in the workings of the bank, especially of payments between two banks.
I also found it extremely irritating to be uncalled harassed for - and being treated as clients who have been defaulting on an account for years!
