I opened an account with identity a few years ago while I was a student. I was offered the Balance protection plan which I accepted. Years later I lost my job due to retrenchment and applied for the balance protection insurance along with other retail stored which I was owing. All my other accounts where settled hassle free, except for this identity account. I first received phone calls from the credit department asking me to pay which I was a bit behind on due to unforeseen events. The lady kept shouting at me and she told me to go get a part time job to pay their money. I was close to tears as I was making arrangements on my side to try and pay this account and I couldn't get an exact date to when I can make a payment. Eventually I got the money and went to the shop to pay. The staff didn't even know what balance protection was and what number should be called. I went again and sent all the required forms. I asked them how long this will take due the fact that I dont want to be called again and harassed by their credit lady who was rude. They didn't know, another lady called to ask me for my UIF form, I sent it but still nothing has happened and my accoun? is behind.
