I was so irritated by the indecisiveness and miseducation of the staff at Clicks in Melrose Arch. I bought a Russell Hobbs blender at Clicks on 27 June 2013. The blender seemed to function for well for the first 2 times I used it. The third and fourth time, it seemed to have a defect that required me to close it too tightly, and made it had to open. The next day, it had the same issue, and when it opened eventually, a little piece broke. My issue was that I had lost he original receipt, however, since I used my Clicks clubcard and my cheque card, there was more than enough proof that I had purchased the item at the Melrose Arch store. The manager, however, insisted that I cannot return the item as Russell Hobbs requires the original receipt. As I went through the Clicks terms however, I learnt that electronic goods are covered by a 12 month guarantee, and that I can send the product back to Clicks to be assessed with or without the original receipt. I was appalled by this manager's guilt trip over the lost receipt. I bought the blender at Clicks, Clicks terms do not cover whatever agreements they have with Russell Hobbs in their T&C's, I'm well withing my rights to return it!
