My daughter bought a scarf and a bottle of wine (750ml) and a plastic bag. She had not even reached the parking, when the bag broke and the wine bottle fell out and broke. She was in a huge rush, and not able to go back to the store that day. The next day, we went back with the broken packet and the till slip to try to get some kind of apology, and maybe a replacement bottle of wine. The manager was totally unhelpful and said that we need to bring the bottle top back in order for him to replace the wine. While I understand what he was saying, this was not the fault of the wine company, and I feel that if PnP want to keep their customers, they should be bending over backwards to help them. The staff at the nearby shop saw the whole thing happen and could corroborate the story, but the manager was not interested. Quite honestly, as a previously die-hard PnP fan, I am changing to Checkers, as their service, prices and customer care are now streets ahead of PnP - and most of my friends are agreeing with me. Well done PnP Northgate, you have lost a previously very loyal customer. That was the last straw!
