After having found a pair of shoes that I really liked at the Somerset-West branch, I was informed that the they did not have them in my size in stock.
I understand this as happens and you don't always have stock of everything.
Since that was not the branch closest to me, I decided to go to Cape Gate, which didn't have the specific shoe at all.
Off to Canal Walk at this point (23/06 - Sunday). Up to this point I was not unhappy or angry at all since it is understandable for any branch not to have a specific item.
When I got to CW, I found the shoe once again and asked for my size. I was told again not in stock.
So I asked the Sales Rep to please check the stock of other branches and possibly get a pair in my size sent there.
Upon this request the Sales Rep was not at all helpful and didn't really seem to want to do it.
I insisted and was told that the shipping would take 5-7 days and cost me another R30.
In terms of money paying R30 extra after you are already paying R700 for a pair of shoes does not seem significant,
but honestly what store would charge a customer even more money to acquire the goods for them that they did not have in the first place.
