Embarrasement at till and no response for 5 days

I applied for a woolworths store card about 4 weeks ago and was phoned 2 weeks ago notifying me of the approval of this. on the phone call, they approved me for a certain limit, said that my card would be posted to me and in about 3 weeks and in the mean time, I must use my ID in store.

I go in for my first experience, arrive at the till and explain ths to the lady who says I cannot buy with my ID. I explain this is what was said to me by the credit department on the phone, but she refuses. We call the manager and she says I cannot use my ID

There is one thing I completely hate more than inconenience and that is being embarrased in front of people. I could not proceed with my purchase and had to leave.

Worst is, I complained online to Woolworths financial services the same day on the 22nd of june and had no response. I sent another complaint on Tuesday the 25th of June with no response. I again complained yesterday to woolworths general complaints line, with absolutely no response.

The tellers name at Irene was Vernesa and the Managers name Beauty. Can you believe that they not only give wrong information in store and embarrase customers but do not even bother to respond.
