Two days ago I lodged a complaint on your website and have yet to get a response. Today, I called the customer service centre - as suspected, it has not been attended to.
On 3 June 2013 I purchased an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite from Incredible Connection Nicolway.
On 21 June 2013 it stopped working. I contacted Kindle customer service and went through the reset procedure with them. Nothing worked. In the end they said it seemed the unit was faulty and as it was brand new and well within their 1 year warranty period I should take it back to the store and have it replaced.
I returned the device to the store this morning and had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the store manager, Justin Ross who, said that all he was prepared to do is send the device away to have it assessed. I know from past experience that these devices cannot be repaired and are well known to have these issues (this is my 4th Kindle). And I will end up being given a reconditioned device, which I am not prepared to accept.
The consumer protection act, which overrides any store policy clearly states in section 56 (2); that I have the choice to ask for a refund or repair - MY CHOICE!
