I approached the till to pay for my goods, & there were 3 staff members having a whale of a chat behind the counter, about Thabo Mbeki & bursaries. The 1 gentleman was assisting a customer, & he spoke the entire time, save for asking the customer "club card, bag? ". The the lady chatting eventually decided that she should assist the people waiting in the queue. However, the conversation continued, as I also received the "club card, bag? " acknowledgement, The conversation continued the entire time between these 3 staff members. I was annoyed to say the least, & went to look for the manager. There were two ladies at the electronics section, who watched me looking in the offices- did not offer assistance, also having a chat. I asked the security gentleman at the door who the manager was- he directed me to one of the ladies sitting chatting at the electronic section. I approached the lady, & greeted her, & advised her at the shocking customer experience that I had just had. She strolled over, no apology to me, & advised the 3 at the counter in another language, something about "customer complaining". Many other retail stores all offer the same products - I will not tolerate this service
