I stay in Cape Town since 2008. had two transaction on my account on 28.04.2013 at Carnival City in Brakpan. when I received my statement 21.05.2013 and discovered this (R - I immediately phoned the customer service number. was told to correct it I need to go to my closest branch and complete a dispute form. THIS IS ONLY HALF THE TRUTH. I did just that - after completing the form, I was told to get an affidavit signed as well. I was already livid at this stage as it would mean to the police and back again. finally got around to go and get an affidavit - took this back to Edgars today and she refuses to do anything if I do not have a copy of my ID with me. Normally they have no issue using my drivers licence. surely if she was at all customer service orientated she would have taken all teh detail and ask me to fax a copy of my ID the next day. I can't understand how a paying customer is treated like this - surely there is suppose to be a more streamline process to deal with trnasactions - or in the very leats a uniformal one. it is as if I need to prove that it was not me - where as I feel it should be Edgars having to prove that I was.
