Chequers don't honour promotion promises

Chequers Vryheid has some excellent prices on their advertised specials right now but when you get to the check out till it is a different story. They advertise Clover Tropika 2 litres for R16.99 but the shelf price and the price on the till is R22.99. I had to call the supervisor to sort it out.

Yesterday they had to give me a R88 refund because they overcharged me on 20 boxes of Twinsaver facial tissues. The promotion was advertised at R19.99 for 2 boxes but the till charged R17.99 per box and then gave me a R5.99 per 2 boxes. This comes to R29.99 not the promotion price of R19.99.

Today I tested them by buying just 2 boxes of Twinsaver Tissues to see is they were living up to their promotions but they are still at fault. They now still charge 17.99 per box but take off R5.99 of each box so R17.99 x 2 less R5.99 x 2 = R24.00 which is still R4 overcharge on the advertised promotion price. Again the manager was called and had to refund me. I must be the most popular customer at Chequers.

Checkers please stop the people of Vryheid! Shoppers be aware!
