No Help trying to sort out account erro

I applied for an account in November 2012 which was declined and after that i started getting accounts for shoes been bought. I have not received a card, and when i tried to sort this issue out they gave me a number to fax an affidavit and i have. I would like to know why do I have to go through so many hassles to sort this issue out? Why cant Tekkie town take responsibility for a fault they made.
