I get my account today and see there was a charge of R17.10 for "Collections letter" and then another R17.10 for "Collections phone call". I'm shocked that I was charged R32.20 for them making a phone call and sending a letter. I'd love to know if this is a) legal and b) in my contract that I signed as I certainly don't remember this being explained to me. Also, despite me trying to remove the "CP Insurance" I get charged every month, I notice it's still there. The Consumer Protection Act allows me to use whatever insurance supplier I want to cover my debt and it's illegal to enforce internal insurance on a client.
