Delivered card that was not applied for

I have been sent a Click's Gold Credit Card, which I never applied for. When I phone to enquire why they sent me this card they say I have to write a written request for it to be cancelled. Why should I have to even rrequest that the cancell when I never applied for it in the first place. I had a credit card with them which I paid off and when I call to tell them to cancel I have to go to a branch to Cancel yet when I applied for it everything was done telephonically and in a few days the card was delivered. This is just their way to keep us in debt. I do not owe them anything they do not owe me. Now they send me a Gold Credit card that I did not apply for.
