I visited @home in Canal Walk on Saturday and had a tough time checking the prices of their items as there were no prices on them. I took 2 bath sheets from a neatly folded pile on a shelf with a price card of R135 directly beneath it. The assistant rang it up and when i checked my invoice i was billed R239 EACH!! I queried it and she said "Sorry, sometimes customers move the piles around, those towels are on the wrong place - the R135 towels are the smaller ones or you pay R239 per towel", I took the smaller ones but was not very happy with that explanation and asked for the manager as i felt they should've honoured their price. He repeated what the assistant said and just shrugged my complaint off with "well that's how the company do their pricing now, nothing i can do". Come on @home, is it too much to expect to walk into your store, choose an item and pay the price advertised?? And surely when the 'mistake' is pointed out to you, apologise and give the customer the benefit. I left with towels that i did not choose and a very angry, disappointed feeling towards @home. Not the level of service I
