I went to pay for my 7 items at the express till where only 1 till of 5 was open. We were all standing in line for quite some time where many customers left to go to the normal tills. One guy even asked if another till would open, where the reply was just "they will send someone" (who never came). When you get called to the front, the client in front of you has not left yet. Similarly, the next client is called while you are still at the till. Furthermore, the plastic bag and your goods are all left on the counter for you to pack yourself, which I see as a service to be provided from the store. I went to see the supervisor to inquire about opening another till and eventually found her at the kiosk filling in Lotto numbers. She did not even bother to stand up straight to talk to me and her reply to my complaint was also "they will send someone". If I go to a store at any time, especially at the end of a day, I really do not need people not doing the job they get paid for, but instead they are more offended by the fact that you bother them while they fill out their possible winning numbers (which should be done at lunchtime) Never mind the lack of productivity at the tills.
