I went to Edgars at Mall @ Reds on Friday 31 May 2013, to close my fathers acc as he had passed away on 25 May. He has the acc protection plan on his acc that will cancel any debt left over. I took a certified copy of his id book as well as the death certificate, only to have the employee at customer service argue with me that. She needs to see the originals, what for? That is why they have to be certified, but there was no convincing her, even though i confirmed this with head office. I have the originals but they were not on me. In the end i went to Centurion branch, where i had too wait a bit longer, but got it done, no questions asked. Edgars, please teach your staff there jobs, as nobody feels like putting up with this after an event like the death of ones father. Thank you.
