My wife applied for an Edgars accounts and she was very happy when she was approved for the account. Edcon sent her an sms that she must go to the Carletonville branch to pick-up the card and show the sms and a copy of her ID.

She went to Edgars Carletonville stood in the queue for nearly half an hour and then she was told to bring a certified copy of her. Today she went back with a certified copy of her ID and the same lady told her no this won't work. As her application says Botha and her ID says Scholtz. As we got married recently, but she did show the marriage certificate and application from home affairs.

If this is the type of attitude Edgars/Edcon have towards their clients I will advice all I know to stay away from this poorly run branch.
