It's with great sadness that I write this report as the company that I have been a loyal and well paying client to has now turned its back against us to benefit their own interest! I've had an account with Edgars since 2010 with a good payment record, which I have worked hard to keep clean. When I opened the account I had the option to choose between a 6 and 12 months plan. I have recently been faced with a financially shifting family crisis and can only afford to pay half of my instalment for a few months before I can get back to my usual flow. I called in to request a change of plan to 12 months for a short duration then back to the 6 months plan. Unfortunately I was told that as of last year, if I change the plan to 12 months then I will no longer will be able to change back to a 6 months plan as it's longer available, "but I'm currently still on that plan"! I don't want to make a payment arrangement as that will still put my account in arrears and will be charged interest not to mention the bad reflection it will have on my credit rating. I am extremely disappointed in that my right of choice as a consumer has been taken away and I am given no option/leniency despite the above
