Edgars CNA "@ the airport" Clause

I recently opened an account with Edgars so as to start building up a credit record.

During the early evening of Saturday the 25th of May I was browsing the CNA store at Cape Town International Airport. You can imagine my disappointment when I reached the front of the queue only to be told that, unlike what the back of my Edgars card (& contract for that matter) state, the card cannot be used at this particular CNA as it is part of a "different franchise" hence "@ the Airport" on the store's wall.

Edgars is more than happy to print "Valid at CNA" stickers and plaster them all over the contract, club card and website, though this doesn't seem to be the case. Very disappointed with them as it is their duty to protect their members from these ridiculous clauses, seriously, "a different franchise".

I guess one really aught to take a magnifying glass with you to one of their stores before signing up for a paid membership, because the fine print in Comic Sans size 6 probably highlights this fact somewhere where the consumer is least likely to see.
