This is not my first complaint about Edgars. I needed to get new Store & Club cards (mine were in my purse which was). On Sunday 28th July I got a new store card at Edgars Balfour Park. I didn't get a club card as they were out of stock - first black mark. On 2 Aug I was at Edgars Northgate around 6 pm. I was given a club card but it couldn't be linked to my account as that required a phone call to (I think) and they were closed. I was told all I had to do was go to any Edgars branch before 5 pm on a Saturday or 2 pm on a Sunday (the assistant assumed I'd go this weekend) and my cards would be linked. I went to Edgars Balfour Park today just before 2 pm. I was told it couldn't be done, I asked why. I was told Delia wasn't on duty and I should come back the next day. No apology. Why do I get told a different story from that at the Northgate store? Which is correct? How inconvenient for the customer!! I see that Edgars Balfour Park is being re-vamped and there will be more ranges available, but what is the point when the service remains poor? There is almost always a long queue at Customer Services and the staff are disinterested, unhelpful and unfriendly.
