Never purchase a professional purpose watch from this company! After purchasing a R4000 watch in 2011 for a professional pilot... I had continually had problems with the watch in accordance with the guarantee. Batteries were not a reasonable guarantee claim (as I can agree if it happens once after two years) but the internal mechanism was also replaced in the FOUR times it had been in for repairs in 24 months, not reasonable value for money as the consumer law entitles me to have. Although the Managing director of CJR Gift Sales (Pty) Ltd, Mr Rowan Jacobson claims it has been repaired only 3 times (of witch I have 4 Shop slips to prove repairs, and the letter not being on an official letterhead). This watch is not an accessory but a tool that peoples lives depend on and thus it cannot malfunction every "once in a while". I will not settle for the watch to be repaired again, but to be replaced. Although the letter I have been given form the director suggests the "limited guarantee" will not replace as it has been checked and tested (I wish I could attach this letter for your viewing pleasure, to show the consumer bullying) My question thus is if lives are lost who will be to blame?
