Timberland
Shoes sent in for repair returned damaged

Shops, Products, Services

I visited the Eastgate branch of timberland (21 March 2013) and the staff (friendly) assisted me with taking my two year old boots in for repair after the right hand shoe split open down the inside while I was at a funeral. I received we a call this week to advise me that the shoes were ready for collection. Although I had to follow up a few times I was glad to be receiving my shoes back. To my horror, when I checked the shoes I realized that the shoe had been hacked open and sewn together again in a very untidy fashion. As a fan of the brand I was was disappointed with the unfair treatment.By unfair I mean the following: I was told that the shoes were going to be sent to head office for repair. I expected, at the least to be called if the shoe could not be repaired without altering the look to allow me the opportunity to decide on whether to proceed or not. I would have requested for the shoe to be sent back to me as I would have sent the shoes to the factory myself. Needless to say I left the shoes there and asked them to send them back as I could not accept them as they were. as the damage is irreversible. I am an extremely disappointed client and currently await feedback
