My elderly mother has a Dischem Loyalty card. She received a new one and went to the help desk at Dischem Kolonnade and asked them to please tranfer her points from the old card to the new one as she checked and it was not done when the new card was issued. The lady promptly cut up the old card telling my mother she cannot have 2 cards, she will notify HQ to tranfer the points. This was about 3 months back, sinse then my mother has been going to the help desk about every 2 weeks. Everytime she is givin a new excuse and told to come back. A week back she again went to to the help desk, and refused to go until the transfer is made. Now She is told, because she has a credit card linked to my credit card that she uses rightfully to do her purchases I, her son, has to write a letter giving permission for the transfer. Now I have written this letter and my mother will be taking it to them, but I find this TOTALLY unessary and it has become clear to me the Help Desk staff clearly has no idee how to perform their duties. They seem to enjoy making it as difficult as they can for my elderly mother get any assitance, thinking up excuse after excuse, SHAME ON YOU
