CPA violation? Manager powerless, and unconcerned

Today, Sunday 19 May, I visited the Puma Outlet shop in Woodmead, Johannesburg. Having tried on a few pairs of shoes, I went to make my purchase. When the staff member rang up the purchase on the till, he immediately noticed a price discrepancy between the price on the shelf and the price on the system, and called the Manager, Priscilla. Priscilla looked at the system, and proceeded to tell us that there had been a price change on system between yesterday and today, and that they had not been informed about this. She said that she was incapable, due to system restrictions of discounting the shoes manually, to the price on shelf, and that even though she knew this was in violation of the CPA, she was incapable of selling me the shoes at the marked price.

Not only am I beyond furious at this situation, which I acknowledge was not of her making, I am also furious that Puma SA staff are so poorly trained that the Manager wouldn't even take my name and number to try and rectify this. She just let me exit the store despite the fact that I informed her that I WILL be laying a complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
