VROT FOOD!!

I have been a resident in the area since 2008 and this was the store that I visited almost daily for my supplies. I was so thrilled at the variety and quality of all goods, meat and vegetables over the past years. It was Fruit & Veg City back then.

Then the store underwent some changes, to the layout etc. And since re-opening as Food Lovers Market, with more variety and easier queuing systems, the one thing that we relied on - QUALITY - has been lost in the rubble. Over the last year I have had several bad experiences.

I went to the store on the way home last night, and spent about R500 on meat and veggies and some goods from the bakery. This morning, the Chelsea buns that I bought are rock hard and the mushrooms and lettuce are already showing signs of going off. I am so angry and disgusted. I feel like I am being cheated and taken for a ride.

I will never go back to that store again. It is such a pity that a name and layout change has caused a reliable store to become nothing more than that take your money for inferior goods!!
