NO FEED BACK ON PROGRESS OF REPAIR

I had to call after I sent an email to the supervisor with regards to my product falling apart and I don't have it for a year yet.
She says they will contact me within 48 hours. No response I end up calling 4 working days later and I have to hold 3 times times before I finally get through to her. She then goes off and tells me I have to consider that she was off ill etc. I didn't't know that is what a customer is suppose to do when they do not get service.
