I purchased a blackberry from Edgar's in September 2012 and after 6 months, the trackpad was not allowing easy scrolling, so I sent it back to Edgar's. I was told that I would be contacted when the phone is ready for collection and after 6 weeks of not being contacted, I went into the store, only to hear that the phone was received a month ago, and no-one had notified me. Then I get told that I would need to pay R540 as the phone was water damaged, and I know that this is untrue as the phone was never exposed to water or moisture. I was very upset and asked for a resolution to this, and also to be compensated for all the stress and trauma I have been through for being without a phone all this time, and for not being notified that the phone was there for a whole month, and the manager did not care much, all he did was ask the staff why the client was not contacted and none of them responded, and that was it. I went to the department manager and the store manager and still no resolution. I was literally in tears, and this saga went on for more than an hour, I cannot believe that a company like Edgars can treat a person in this manner.
