Pick 'n Pay
Opening Special, 30April-12 May, 3 May out of stock

Shops, Products, Services

The new Pick n Pay at Westville Junction had largely advertised their opening specials-which according to the Consumer Protection Act, means that they need to have "sufficient stock", this is an indeterminable amount so yes, it can be questioned how much stock is sufficient. The special stated that it will run from 30 April - 12 May. I went into the store yesterday (3 May) to look for their special that they had advertised on Twinsaver Paper Towel, a pack of 4 for R15.99. Yesterday (3 May at approx 12 midday) they had no stock of it. I went in again today (4 May) and they had no stock. I was first told by a manager that their first stock had arrived that morning and had been 100 of the item. 100 of an item does not seem like "sufficient stock" to me - and clearly it wasn't. The story then changed when I called a supervisor over, who said that the stock had arrived the day before and was sold out within 2 hours (again showing that it was not even close to sufficient stock). I was told lots of customers had bought several of the item hence so quickly running out of stock. They both said more stock would only arrive Tues (7May). TO BE CONTINUED (no space to complete the description)
