CNA
Selling old stock at new price

Shops, Products, Services

I bought a printer cartridge from CNA. Their new system involves picking a card from the display stand which is exchanged at the till for the item required. The card was scanned and threw up a price of R530.00. The cartridge supplied had a partially torn off price label that very clearly showed the item priced as R488.00. I thought it was against consumer protection law to re-price old stock at the new price. If not legally wrong, can CNA justify it morally?

I have to compliment Lerato who served me. She apologised on behalf of CNA and said that she was not in a position to comment or take action.
