Waiver denial after retrenchment

I contacted adt in dec to notify them that I had been retrenched. I was notifying them that I would like to cancel my subscription as I couldn't afford it. I was informed by the call centre that instead of canceling I must apply for waiver for 6 months. I did this and supplied all requested documents in January. I was not contacted until yesterday to be told that I was 3 months overdue. My husband told them no we were under the waiver, only to be informed that the waiver was denied in January. But we were never informed at any stage. When we asked what the reason was we were told that it is because I had been retrenched and not my husband in who's name the contract is. But the matter is that we are married and run one budget. We could not afford it and requested help for a bit. We have been members of adt for almost 8 years. Never missed a payment never had problems. Always referred friends.
