My needs were simple: at my flat's front door, remove existing security gate & replace with a new foldaway one. Quotation/downpayment/final payment/installation. That's what I wanted & what I got.
Maxidor has a poor track record on HelloPeter. I am writing this positive note to let others know that reliable service from this team is possible. Complainants mention lateness, unreliability, promises not kept, incorrect installation, lack of info about timings, nobody available to be contacted as major issues.
I emailed the branch email given on the website & got a fast reply from Mark. He answered my questions & did his best to allay my fears after challenging him about the HelloPeter situation as I was deciding between them & a competitor. I was worried that I was about to throw away my cash to incompetence. Although I was hesitant, I took the plunge.
I don't live in SA. All communication by email, payment by EFT, nobody ever saw me, my tenants handled everything on site. Yes, once I signed the contract & paid the deposit, I didn't hear from Mark again. I like to be kept informed. But my tenants gave the ok on completion. The gate was fitted within an acceptable timeframe. I'm happy!
